Maria Laura Méndez-Martén is a designer from Costa Rica. She was born in 1982 and moved to Paris 10 years ago. After completing her studies at ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, she received her certificate in advanced studies of augmented reality from EPFL+ECAL Lab in Switzerland where she completed the «DOTS» project which won a prize at DMY, Berlin in June 2010. Maria Laura is an independent designer for projects related to new information and communication technology. Within the organisation of Paris Design Labs, she has collaborated with clients such as Orange or Dassault Aviation. More recently, she developped the design of interfaces, information services and architectures for Mobility Services for PagesJaunes (yellow pages) . She is currently developing the project nAutreville in augmented reality with financing from the French government which is granted by OSEO for the financial support of Paris Design Labs. This project, which was awarded a prize by Ville de Paris in 2011-2012. The prototype has been recently tested (two months period) at Temple Square, 75003 Paris.
